My name is Christopher, but when it comes to creativity, I like to use the pseudonym Arro. That way, the ego has less of a place in my work. A name comes with a past, an identity, an image. I set all that aside (at least I try to) when I create.
The first part of my life was very active, full of entertainment and excess, until a burnout came and brought everything to a halt, triggering a spiritual awakening. Today, I know that something Supreme lies behind everything visible in this world—a presence that only asks to be discovered.
The smallest island in the worldWriting came through reading. I spent two years living in a small cottage in nature, where I devoted my time to silence, slowness, and reading. Without distractions, without a phone, I began writing poems, and gradually I started to write stories.I write in French, my native language, but being bilingual, I also translate my work into English.
Nature, beauty, and silence. In silence, you begin to truly meet yourself for the first time, and a deeper kind of knowledge emerges—one that can’t be learned from books. It’s a knowing that has always been there, beneath the layers we’ve built out of fear.
Creating, writing, shapes, and color. In everything I make, color holds an essential place. My neighbor painted his small wooden door a light blue. There are a thousand variations of blue, yet the one he chose stirs something in me. Its frequency enters effortlessly through my eyes, gently infusing my mind and entire body with peace.Color holds tremendous power.
Patagonia. There, people are few, and all the noise that comes with them is absent. It’s a place where nature is in command, and where you feel the need to introduce yourself to the forest before stepping in. As you walk, the trees seem to bend, reminding you how long you’ve been away from their community.In Patagonia, vast expanses of nature and wild energy shake the sleeping soul. In those wide open spaces, in that absorbing emptiness, something whispers to you that you are not alone and that you are deeply loved.
